Harmonic Canon
Built by Adam Wilson, 1997-98

Adam says: "I got interested in Partch after hearing my first microtonal piece -- a tune for percussion ensemble by Ben Johnston. Shortly thereafter I decided to build the instrument.

The photos show only the "A-set" of strings (parallel to the belly). Since then, I've added the angled set.

I'm going to play the Canon in a collaboratively produced graphic composition here at the University of Illinois in April. I'm using the tuning from Delusion."
